DCA Council meeting is on Monday, 2nd December at 7.30pm at the Weston Centre. All DCA members welcome.

At the beginning of the meeting we will have a short talk by Andy Allsop, a Community First Responder in the Belper area and a Bank Trainer for EMAS Community Response Team.

He is currently in the process of helping set up a Community First Responder Group (CFR) to cover specifically Belper, Duffield and surrounding areas.

His talk will be around:

– what a community first responder is/does

– how community defibrillators are deployed

– the importance of early defibrillators usage

– time permitting, demo of the use of a defibrillator

– then seeing if there is any interest in the future for running training sessions on the use of defibrillators
