DUFFIELD CARNIVAL 2024 will be held on Saturday 29th June…

CARNIVAL PROCESSION ROAD CLOSURE

The A6 through Duffield will be closed on Saturday 29th June 2024, from 13:00 – 13:45 for the CARNIVAL PROCESSION. Other adjoining roads will be affected.
The A6 will be closed from the Makeney Road (Baptist Church) junction to the Station Approach junction.

The CARNIVAL PROCESSION will assemble on AVENUE ROAD from 12:15.
Whilst the procession is gathering, Avenue Road will be extremely congested with procession floats and walking participants, so access for other vehicles will be restricted.

The procession will move off onto Hazelwood Road at 12:45.
There will be no access to King Street from Hazelwood Road from 12:45-13:30
King Street will be closed from Avenue Road to the junction with the A6 from 12:24-13:30.
There will be no access onto King Street/Hazelwood Road from the A6, Crown Street (Ecclesbourne Meadows), Vicarage Lane, Castle Hill from 12:45 until 13:30.
There will be no access to Phillips Croft, Castle Hill, Vicarage Lane, The Pastures, Champion Hill, Fisher Lane, A6 from 12:45 until 13:45.

If you are travelling through Duffield, please use a different route during this time.
