Sow seeds into 7.5cm pots of peat-free, multi-purpose compost in April. Push the seed 1.5cm into the compost and water in. Cover pots with a clear plastic bag and place in a cool but bright place.

After the sunflowers have germinated, keep them well-watered until they’re ready to plant out into the garden when the risk of frost has passed (end of May).

If you have some left over, we can plant in public areas.
