Duffield Methodist Church – the future

The Methodist Church in Duffield is now closed, and the building is standing empty.

The DCA supports the Parish Council in acquiring the property as a community hub for the village. As access to other halls becomes more and more limited, this is a fantastic opportunity to buy a large hall for the village to use.

Many residents will be aware that the Methodist Church has closed, and is likely to be sold in the coming months. The Parish Council, along with other organisations and members of the community, has been looking at possible options to retain the Church for community use. Before the Parish Council can consider the matter in more detail, it is important to find out the views of the community. Cllr Knee has produced the video below to provide some further details and an initial survey will be posted to all households later this week.
